The Love BIG Project was created to honor the beautiful life and work of Richard Beatie.
His greatest gift was his LOVE. He stood 6’7” and showed up BIG for all aspects of life. His Love was and will always be present BIG and Inspiring. Richard was diagnosed with brain cancer in January of 2017, and passed 48 days later. Richard’s death is a cause for reflection. We will all pass and those we love will pass. We are reminded our days are limited, each one precious. |
He loved the closing line from Mary Oliver’s poem The Summer Day: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” His answer to Oliver’s question was found written in his journal:
“What am I doing with this one precious life?” His life is a beautiful, powerful message and reminder to live life with intention, to spend the moments and days fully aware that they are precious and limited. The greatest gift Richard gave was Love. His Love was Big. He gave and received Big Love. This will be his legacy.
